Diane Berman, M.A., ATR, LMFT



Diane has been a practicing therapist for 40 years and teaching at the graduate level for 25. In 1973 she became the first president of the Northern California Art Therapy Association. She is on the faculty of John F. Kennedy University in the Bay Area since 1989 and at New Mexico Highlands University and Southwestern College for the past several years.

She is a practitioner of Native American spirituality in the Lakota tradition for 20 years and has worked with several elders and medicine people, participating in Sun Dances, Yuwipi Ceremonies, Vision Quests and Sweat Lodges. She is a practicing Sufi for 20 years and continues to be involved in the Sufi community. In 1998 she met the Q'ero Indians, Inka descendents, in the High Andes of Peru. She has since studied energy healing based on this lineage, has been initiated to receive the rites of the Inka teachings and is a graduate of Alberto Villaldo's Healing the Light Body School. Currently, she is incorporating these teachings into her private practice in Santa Fe.
