Peggy Lesniewicz, Ph.D., LPCC

Peggy moved from Ohio in June 2006 where she has over sixteen years of clinical experience with a focus on sexual abuse, trauma, and mental disorders. As a certified hypnotherapist, a practitioner of EMDR, and with her doctorate in transpersonal psychology, she is able to approach these areas of concern in a creative way. Peggy also specializes in spiritual crises, or emergency, and has served as a spiritual director for those persons seeking to gain a better and deeper understanding of their spiritual journey.

In Ohio, Peggy taught classes in "Marriage and Family Studies" and "Social Problems" at Northwest State Community College, and several sections of a master's level counseling practicum class at Bowling Green State University. She has been involved in supervising student interns and practicing counselors for the past ten years. In addition, she served as a trustee on a board that awarded funds to organizations involved in helping families in Northwest Ohio.

In Santa Fe, New Mexico, in addition to teaching at Southwestern College, she teaches at the Hypnotherapy Academy of America, and has a private practice called the Santa Fe Sage Counseling Center. In July, she will begin her term as President Elect-Elect of the ASERVIC chapter of the New Mexico Counseling Associaton.
