Michael Maestas, M.A., LPCC

Michael G. Maestas is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with over 30 years of experience in behavioral health services. He is presently the Chairman of the New Mexico Counseling and Therapy Practice Board an appointment he received from Governor Bill Richardson in 2003. Mr. Maestas has been responsible for establishing and developing behavioral health care legislation, policy and regulations throughout his career.  He is a respected leader and advocate of professional development and has presented at state, national and international conferences and seminars.  Mr. Maestas is an adjunct faculty at both Southwestern College and the Santa Fe Community College.
