Ethical Issues in Working with Children & Families 20 CEC contact hours or 2 credit units This course explores ethical issues, dilemmas, and opportunities that commonly arise when working with children and their parents or caregivers, including client rights, confidentiality, mandated reporting, interfacing with family court, and other community services, as well as scope of practice. Global human rights of children will also be addressed, with special attention to working with children from diverse cultural backgrounds. Children’s Mental Health courses are open to everyone.
