Exploring Approaches to Supervision: Movement Towards Integration
As with psychotherapy, many models of supervision have been developed. In this lecture, the presenters will discuss a variety of approaches to supervision, encouraging attendees to begin to develop their own integrative style. Information about supervision will be woven into discussion in order best to meet the experiences, interests and preferences of attendees.
Webb Garrison, Ph.D., has worked in academic, research and clinical settings, including community mental health, adolescent group homes, rehabilitation facilities and private practice. He seeks to integrate spiritual, psychological and educational principles in ways that positively impact local communities.
Brian Serna, M.A., LPCC, LADAC, is a nationally recognized trainer in the treatment of addictions. He also facilitates workshops on improving cross-cultural counseling skills, treating co-occurring disorders and ethics. He is currently the health and wellness director for the Pueblo of Tesuque and maintains a private practice in Santa Fe.
