Making Healing Contact with Children Through Play Therapy
Friday, 5/16, 6–9pm;
A focus on the Child-Centered approach to Play Therapy with emphasis on developing the necessary skills to conduct a play session, themes in children’s play, the process of therapy, and the materials needed. Participants will be actively involved through the use of videotaped play therapy sessions, and role play situations with each other. The didactic material will be presented with opportunities to discuss and ask questions.
Geri Glover, Ph.D., LPCC, RPT-S has been working with children and their parents for over 20 years in education, day treatment programs and mental health clinics. She is a faculty member at NM Highlands University and maintains a private practice in Santa Fe specializing in play therapy, parent consultation and Child-Parent Relationship Training (CPR-T or Filial Therapy)
