You are invited to join the Song Carriers Women’s Circle for our Winter Solstice Ceremony & Celebration at the Institute of American Indian Arts Hogan. This will be a communal sharing of medicine songs from our sisters, mothers and grandmothers offered on the sweet dark threshold of Winter in honor of our beloved Mother Earth and all the sacred feminine Waters. Please come ready to participate in the prayer through special songs and dances and the joy of being in circle together. There will be a pot-luck feast after the ceremony so please bring a favorite dish to share. Everyone is welcome!
Use the main (third & easternmost) entrance to IAIA and turn right following the driveway toward the east up to the log-walled, green-roofed Hogan. There is plenty of parking available behind and around the Hogan. Because of the prayerful nature of the event, please refrain from using any scents and please leave your cell phones in your cars or in the off position. Thank you!
