Jenny received her BA in English from City University of New York at Hunter College and her MSW from New Mexico Highlands University.
Jenny Rabinowitz is a mental health therapist who practices individual, group and family/couples therapy at a community health agency in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Over five years her practice has mainly involved individuals with chronic mental illness, including those with dual diagnoses. She has a client-centered, strengths-based approach to her work with clients, with a focus on supporting clients’ journey towards understanding and developing skills in managing mental illness, alongside the cultivation of self-esteem and sense of worth. At present she facilitates groups for individuals with schizophrenia, schizoaffective and bipolar disorders. She also facilitates anger management group. Jenny will start a 2-year post-graduate program in adult psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the Chicago Institute of Psychoanalysis in fall of 2018 and is finishing a 1-year post-graduate training program in couples therapy at The Couples Institute.
Jenny is creator and producer of “Animal Talk,” a weekly radio talk show dedicated to looking at our relationship to other species as reflected in existing and emerging public policies and debates. Animal Talk won Animal Protection of New Mexico’s Milagro Award in 2015.
