Micaela Wood, MA, LPCC, ATR-BC

Micaela Wood, MA, LPCC, ATR-BC is a licensed professional clinical counselor and board-certified art therapist based in Orange County, California. She earned her master’s degree in art therapy and counseling from Southwestern College in 2018. Micaela has been a faculty member at SWC for the last four years and served a term on the Board of Trustees, contributing to the college’s continued growth and vision.

Micaela’s clinical work is focused on treating trauma in children and young adults. Her perspectives in the classroom draw on her field experience across diverse clinical settings—including in-home services, shelters, residential treatment centers, and private practice.

As a ceramic artist and painter, Micaela finds inspiration in the natural world. She brings a creative spirit to her work at SWC. She is continually inspired by her students and colleagues and is honored to support Southwestern College’s mission of fostering a transformative learning environment.
