- Michelle Lynn, M.A., LMHC
Michelle Lynn, M.A., LMHC graduated from Southwestern College in 2011. She has B.S. in Elementary Education from University of New Mexico. She taught elementary school off and on for 12 years in Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, and Jemez Springs.
She is currently the Administrative Coordinator of Tierra Nueva Counseling Center, intern liaison manager, and adjunct faculty. She teaches Career and Life Development. Her approach to therapy and teaching is grounded, practical, transformative, and solution focused. She sees herself more as a life coach than a therapist and enjoys leading pscyho-educational therapeutic support groups at Tierra Nueva with the students. She enjoys spending time with her partner and two step-children, going to garage sales, and continuing to pursue creative projects such as sewing, making fairy gardens, and scaring trick-or-treaters at the family’s annual haunted house.
In between teaching, she also worked as a seamstress in the costume shop of Musical Theatre Southwest, taught and performed Middle Eastern belly dancing, played in the Society for Creative Anachronism, served on the board of directors for a Pagan college, took classes in Shamanism, and got in touch with her spiritual side.
