The Counseling program at Southwestern College focuses on the deep, personal development and transformation of our students as “counselors-in-training.” Our holistic, integrative clinical curriculum combines current evidence-based practices in counseling while also including alternative approaches to healing for a truly unique multicultural flavor and training experience.
Southwestern College is a consciousness-centered graduate school in Santa Fe, New Mexico offering online and on the ground Master’s Degrees in Counseling and Art Therapy/Counseling leading to licensure; we also offer specialty certificates for ongoing professional development. Our innovative curriculum integrates personal growth, consciousness, and holistic professional training in intimate experiential classrooms.
The Master’s program in Counseling offers a heavy emphasis on your personal transformation and development as a compassionate, mindful, reflective, and deeply self-aware psychotherapist. You become your own first client by experiencing the process of personal transformation yourself. This allows you work transformationally with clients.
Agencies tell us that our students bring a maturity and a commitment to social change that is not found in many schools. We also offer a lot of help both in identifying career opportunities and learning how to create a private practice in our Conscious Entrepreneurship Initiative.
